The general manager of the Puerto Vallarta Bus Terminal, Carlos Murguía Cibrián, informed that by the end of December 2023 they will surpass the half million passengers that arrived during the year. In 2022 they received 483,427 people.

He also pointed out that during the winter holidays, due to the increase in travelers, they will have to make between 30 and 60 extra trips per day.

There is already a lot of movement in this bus station. Thousands go in and out. Extra trips are made every 30 or 45 minutes, depending on passenger demand on the 5 commercial lines.

The number of departures is increased by 30%, which means that on a normal day they have around 150 to 17o departures. During holidays, they have 180 to 230, and it is on weekends when there is more passenger movement.

Murguía Cibrián reported that in January they had 4,253 passengers, in February 31,180, in March 37,014, in April 52,365, in May 47,917, in June 53,340, in July 55,561, in August 50,620, in September 34,381, in October 33,605 and in November 39,407, for a total of 478,627, so they expect to end the year with more than 500,000 for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Most of the visitors came from Mexico City, Tepic, Leon, El Bajio, Aguascalientes, Colima, Monterrey, Guadalajara and other beach destinations such as Mazatlan and Acapulco.
