September 28, 2023

To close the events of World Tourism Day in Puerto Vallarta, a cocktail party was held where stands of typical food from the delegations of this city, as well as from neighboring municipalities were set up, where businessmen and tourists were invited, as well as government authorities.

This celebration brought together the business sector of Puerto Vallarta, where the city’s chronicler, Juan Manuel Gómez Encarnación, emphasized that this municipality owes a lot to tourism, an activity that not only generates economy, but also sustainability.

Therefore, throughout the years the development of Puerto Vallarta is thanks to the founders of this city, to the tourist service providers, businessmen, hoteliers and restaurateurs. Puerto Vallarta also owes a lot to the builders, to the governors who managed to have an airport as well as a maritime terminal.

On his part, the director of municipal tourism, Christian Preciado, emphasized that Puerto Vallarta is celebrating with this celebration, for which reason stands were set up with typical food from the regions near this city and from this municipality as well.

To conclude the protocol ceremony, the Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, Vanessa Perez Lamas, pointed out that Puerto Vallarta is the number one destination at a national level; that is why the state government is working to improve the infrastructure so that tourists can have the best experience when they travel to the destination.

Finally, some awards were given to ecotourism companies in the city, such as Canopy River, Nogalito Park and Hotel Velas Vallarta, among others.
