Two-month closure of Basilio Badillo street for pavement work: take precautions

By Tribune Travel

May 08, 2024

A segment of Basilio Badillo street will undergo a two-month closure for paving works between Insurgentes and Aguacate in the Emiliano Zapata neighborhood.

The project is estimated to cost over 4 million pesos and includes the replacement of water and drainage lines, installation of household connections, sidewalk registers, and sidewalks.

During the closure, urban buses traveling along Basilio Badillo street will need to follow detours. At the entrance to the road to Mismaloya, where access is already restricted, buses will divert onto Insurgentes and then onto Venustiano Carranza, now open to two-way traffic. They will then proceed up Aguacate street to return to Basilio Badillo.

It’s worth noting that Basilio Badillo street experiences heavy traffic from large trucks as it serves as a primary entry point.
