Some candidates vying in Puerto Vallarta’s 2023-2024 electoral race have pledged to share their proposals through the “Por amor a México” or “For Love of Mexico” app, an initiative by Concanaco-Servytur Mexico aimed at fostering informed voting among citizens.

Javier Zepeda, the vice president of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism, emphasized the significance of this electoral cycle in Mexican history, prompting the creation of the “Por amor a México” app.

The app operates in three stages: Firstly, candidates present their proposals throughout their campaigns, promising to implement them if elected. Secondly, chambers of commerce advocate for voting without partisan influence. Finally, the app ensures elected candidates fulfill their promised proposals.

Notably, only specific candidates attended the symbolic signing event, including Magaly Fregoso Ortiz for the Green Party, Diego Franco for MC, and Saúl Alonso Camacho for the PT.

Lorena Beltrán, president of the National Chamber of Small Commerce (Canacope) Puerto Vallarta, stressed the pivotal role of entrepreneurs in Mexico’s economy.

Chambers of commerce aim to involve other candidates in uploading their proposals to the app, enabling citizens to download it for free and deliberate on their votes.
