The road that leads to the town of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is now complete and open to the residents of this area of Banderas Bay, as well as visitors to the hotels and condominiums that receive thousands of tourists every year.

In May, work began to replace the asphalt on the roadway at the town’s entrance with hydraulic concrete.

Mario Andrés Bugarín Parra, the Public Works Director of Bahía de Banderas, reported that 600 meters were covered by the municipality in the initial phase.

The official declared that the project has been completed, including the beaconing. The side lanes have been improved, the old asphalt has been removed and the new one is being beaconed. The inauguration is scheduled to take place on Thursday of this week.

Over 10 million pesos were allocated for the project’s first stage, and the second stage, which may commence in early September, is yet to be determined.

The road is already operational for daily traffic despite the absence of an official handover protocol.
