Carlos Lopez Aranda Ramirez, president of the National Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (Canaco Servytur) Puerto Vallarta, said that they have already made the appropriate studies to ask the federal government to declare the historic downtown area of this city as a Pueblo Magico (Magic Town) so that it can continue with constant improvement.

They have already held meetings with the owners of the downtown properties who are in favor of declaring this place a magical town. Even this Tuesday, the Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, Vanessa Perez Lamas, met with them to socialize this proposal, since what makes this beach destination different from others is the spirit of the town.

Aranda Ramirez assured that the city will not lose any state budget due to this designation, on the contrary, there will be more promotion and participation of Puerto Vallarta in fairs of Magical Towns. Among some of the adaptations would be the subway wiring, repair of the facades of houses, farms, pedestrian areas and more.
