October 10, 2023

This Tuesday morning, October 10, Hurricane Lidia has intensified to category 3 (major hurricane) with sustained winds of 185 km/h, informed the National Water Commission (Conagua).

Lidia is currently located 260 km southwest of Puerto Vallarta.

The first effects on the coasts of Jalisco and Nayarit will begin in the afternoon, with high waves and winds of increasing intensity.

Extreme precautions are recommended due to the high risk of flooding caused by accumulated rains and overflowing rivers.

The center of Lidia is expected to make landfall in Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit during the afternoon and evening of Tuesday.
