Hurricane Lidia is category 2; it could hit Cabo Corrientes

At around 8:45 a.m., the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reported that hurricane Lidia intensified to category 2 with 155 km/h winds.
The phenomenon is located 315 km west-southwest of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
They also informed that “Lidia” is expected to make landfall tonight in the area of Cabo Corrientes and then cross the center of Puerto Vallarta.
Due to Hurricane Lidia, the Islas Marías and from Manzanillo, Colima, to Playa Novillero, Nayarit, remain on alert.
Civil Protection of Jalisco recommends extreme caution on the coasts of Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit and Sinaloa due to high waves, heavy to torrential rains and the risk of rivers overflowing and flooding.
In the early hours of this Tuesday there was an intense swell on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, the waves reached the city’s boardwalk.
