Jalisco, the third largest recipient of foreign tourists by air in Mexico

Jalisco is the third state in Mexico with the highest influx of foreign tourists, representing 14% of the total number of foreign tourists arriving in the country, surpassed only by Quintana Roo and Mexico City.

Jalisco registered an 11% increase in the arrival of foreign tourists by air in the period from January to October of this year compared to the same period in 2022. According to the Migratory Policy Unit-Registration and Identity of Persons of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), 2.5 million international tourists arrived in Jalisco by air.

The airport of Puerto Vallarta received 1 million 411 thousand 612 foreign tourists, an increase of 8% compared to the same period of 2022. This makes our beach destination the fourth with the highest number of foreign tourists, after Cancun, Mexico City and Los Cabos.

vallarta airIn addition, Guadalajara International Airport received 1 million 64 thousand 19 foreign tourists during the first 10 months of the year, which represents an increase of 14% compared to 2022 and positions the Perla Tapatía as the fifth destination in Mexico with the greatest influx of foreign tourists.
