New Year’s Eve Drama: 12 Rescued from Stranded Yacht in Nuevo Vallarta 

Authorities responded swiftly to an emergency call, rescuing 12 people, including 11 adults and a child, from the vessel located about 200 meters off Vidanta, near the Ameca River.  

Though fears of a disaster loomed, all passengers were safely brought to shore and received medical attention. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, and hospitalizations were unnecessary.  

Details about the incident, the cause of the yacht’s immobilization, and its ownership remain undisclosed. However, federal forces leading the rescue operation ensured the night ended safely, averting a potential tragedy during the festive celebration.
