Optimism for the summer with Vallarta’s expanded air service

The expansion of Puerto Vallarta’s air connections starting in June will make it possible to attract more visitors from new cities where there is a large market of travelers and from others which are a natural niche for this destination, according to Lucio Vargas, general manager of the Privileged Club project of Buenaventura Hotels.

For hoteliers and representatives of vacation clubs, he said, there is a lot of optimism with the opening of flights from cities where travelers previously had difficulty reaching the destination because they had to make two or more stops.

This is the case of the new flights from Culiacán, Sinaloa, and Mexicali, Baja California, that Volaris will offer starting July 13, and the daily Jet Blue flight from Los Angeles starting June 15, which will bring thousands of new tourists this coming summer.

The hotel executive notes that there is a solid travel intention for the summer period, since after the pandemic people are more aware to travel and enjoy vacations with their families.

The executive added that this year there is a notable improvement in travel intentions, stays and vacation club memberships compared to last year, as a sign of travelers’ confidence in the benefits of vacationing or investing in this port.
