Puerto Vallarta exceeded 40K million pesos during 2022

The Jalisco Tourism Secretary announced that Puerto Vallarta achieved an average hotel occupancy of 72% during 2022, and an economic impact of over 40 billion pesos.

The department stated that the city was visited by almost six million tourists during that year. During the December holiday period, Puerto Vallarta was the destination with the highest hotel occupancy, with 81.8%, according to Datatur figures.

At the state level, from January to December, Jalisco recorded an impact of 73 billion 691 million pesos, which represents an increase of 8% compared to 2019, with an influx of 30.5 million people and an average hotel occupancy of 54% in the state’s main tourist destinations: Costalegre, Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, Puerto Vallarta, Ribera de Chapala, and the Magic Towns.”
