According to the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism, Puerto Vallarta registered an occupancy rate of 86% and produced economic revenue of 1,675 million pesos, or around 880 million USD, between Holy Week and Easter.

Vanessa Perez Lamas, the head of the Secretariat, said that Puerto Vallarta had the highest hotel occupancy rate in the nation throughout the holiday season, with 287,000 visitors, an increase of 17.8% over 2019.

According to data for the perios from April 3 to 16, Jalisco’s economic tourism revenue for the Easter holiday period was approximately 4,618 million pesos, which also represents a significant increase compared to the numbers for 2022 and 2019, which were 4,110 and 4,274 million pesos, respectively.

The state official noted that 2.8 million visitors were reported over the most recent holiday season, which is 11% more than the previous year.

As a result of all these initiatives, Jalisco’s tourism industry is still expanding, and Puerto Vallarta continues to dominate the nation in terms of hotel occupancy. All of this is also a product of the collaboration and coordination between the various players in the industry and its extensive value chain.
