Puerto Vallarta remains a preferred destination for American tourism

Puerto Vallarta remains in the top 10 as one of the most popular destinations for the American market this winter vacation. This was revealed by Allianz Partners, a company specialized in travel insurance, after conducting its annual survey on the “10 most popular holiday destinations”.

The survey analyzed more than 3.1 million travel plans, including round-trip flights departing from U.S. airports between December 16 and 29. There is a notable increase in the preference for international destinations this holiday season.

Such travel now accounts for 21% of bookings, up from 11% last year.

The report shows that the beaches of Mexico are among the most popular destinations for Americans, ahead of the Bahamas, France and Aruba.

It is worth noting that hoteliers in Puerto Vallarta are already experiencing occupancy rates of over 80%, reaching 95% on some days, and that reservations are already being made for the Christmas holidays, as well as for New Year’s Eve, when this destination reaches 100% occupancy.
