Maintenance work began in March but faced delays, recently resuming under the direction of Jaime Gabriel Pérez Meza, Director of Public Works. Expected to finish by August 10th, the project, with an investment of approximately 15.5 million pesos, focuses on repairs rather than changes to the original Huichol-inspired stamped concrete designs. Pérez Meza assured that the Malecón’s unique elements, including benches and decorative features, will be restored to their original state, preserving its iconic appeal for visitors.
