During the first long weekend of the year, Puerto Vallarta saw an average hotel occupancy rate of 90% thanks to a number of activities that attracted thousands of guests. Several of the city’s accommodations, particularly those in the Romantic Zone and Marina Vallarta, reported occupancy rates in excess of 95%.

More than 5,000 people attended events in the city, such as the National Neonatology Congress and the Hacienda Serena 2023 International Grand Prix.

Since last Friday, there has been more traffic in the city, and restaurants, beaches, and nightclubs were all busier than on a typical day, indicating that the city had an excellent holiday weekend.

The Federal Ministry of Tourism anticipated that during the course of this long weekend, accommodation revenues would total 4,315 million pesos nationwide and that 1,524,000 travelers would check into hotels, which is a 25.6% increase over the same “bridge” in 2022.
