The city’s international airport has 1,283 domestic and international flights booked for the first two weeks of January 2023.

Puerto Vallarta is having a strong start to 2023, after finishing 2022 at 100% and already having more than 1,200 flights in 15 days, indicating that both domestic and foreign travelers continue to visit the city.

Since Puerto Vallarta is one of the locations with greater and better air connectivity, the growth of domestic and international operations from the United States and Canada is very positive.

The Puerto Vallarta International Airport has 595 weekly outbound operations and includes routes to 12 domestic and 37 international destinations.

At the countrywide level, from January to November 2022, international flights carried 45 million 248 thousand passengers, up 42.8% from 2021 and 2.5% more than the 44 million 163 thousand passengers carried during the same period in 2019.

The busiest domestic airlines in Mexico during the first 11 months of 2022 were Volaris and VivaAerobus, who together carried 36 million 930 thousand passengers, 34% more than during the same period in 2021 and 47.1% more than in 2019.
