The nineteenth edition of the gastronomic event Restaurant Week, dedicated mainly to the local public, will be held from May 15th to June 10th. This time, 43 restaurants from Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will participate in the event.

Juan Pablo Hernandez, coordinator of the event for the last fifteen years, emphasized that the challenge of each edition is to maintain the preference of the local public; he said that a recent survey showed that the restaurants of the region have an acceptance rate of 80 percent among the residents of Banderas Bay.

Regarding the origin of the participants, the coordinator of the organization of the gastronomic event, mentioned that last year the attendance of diners was balanced between foreigners and locals in 50 and 50 percent.

Restaurant Week is an event awaited by food lovers from Vallarta and Nayarit, as well as by visitors from all over the world who plan their annual vacations in our destination specifically to participate in this delicious festival.

He also mentioned that during the years of the pandemic, the percentage of local attendees naturally increased, but the trend has leveled off.

A review of the event’s program shows that there are always gastronomic novelties in the region:

Of the 43 participating restaurants, 12 are new; there is a very varied offer of Mexican cuisine, international cuisine, as well as Italian, French, Greek, Chinese or Thai…

Juan Pablo Hernandez invited the public to discover the gastronomic offer that tourists appreciate so much.
