Tour service providers in Puerto Vallarta have reported a significant surge in sales during this winter holiday season. The demand from both tourists and locals has contributed to this increase, especially for the highly sought-after tour to Los Arcos de Mismaloya.

Luis Eduardo García, who offers tours around the bay starting from Los Muertos Pier, mentioned that sales began to rise since November of the previous year. This period has turned out to be one of the best months in 2023 for their business.

With the onset of the winter holiday season, there has been a notable increase in workload due to the growing demand from tourists and locals. The different tour options come with varying prices depending on the destination and duration.

“The tour to Los Arcos de Mismaloya, which lasts 2 hours and includes a life vest, snorkeling gear, and the opportunity to dive to see colorful fish, is highly recommended and costs 1200 pesos,” explained García.

He also noted that other popular tours include visits to Colomitos Beach, Las Ánimas, Quimixto, Yelapa, among others, with corresponding price increases. García advised tourists and locals to purchase their tour tickets, whether for small boats or larger vessels, from official sources or by approaching service providers at Los Muertos Pier to avoid potential scams.
