The diversity party is ready, Pride will take place from May 17th to 28th
May 02, 2023
Vallarta Pride celebrates its tenth anniversary this year. In a conference held at the Convention Center, the organizing committee announced that a series of activities will take place from May 17th to 28th that, although aimed at the LGBTQ community, the invitation to celebrate diversity is open to the entire Puerto Vallarta community.
The celebration, with the theme “Be proud of your nature,” will feature top-notch performances by local, national and international artists. Thanks to this event, for more than a decade, the community has strengthened the culture of inclusion. This is the Pride edition to include the largest number of events in different areas, starting with the traditional march on the 17th from the Sheraton to Los Arcos.
This edition of Pride will include fashion, culture, sports, conferences, parties and fun. Among the activities is the Fashion Show, in which Benito Santos, Mexican fashion designer, will show the colors of diversity through clothes worn by great personalities, in a catwalk that will be presented at the emblematic pier of “Los Muertos”.
In this context, the collective Las Nativos will also parade to promote the visibility of the Wixárika culture, as indigenous people who are part of the LGBTQ community.
Other Pride events include the Miss Vallarta Pride beauty pageant, the 6K Colors Race “United for the Colors of Diversity” on Sunday the 21st, an art exhibition at the OPC Gallery featuring important artists, a Mexican Kermes, the Street Party and the Drag Derby, a high heel race.
The Pride activities will make Puerto Vallarta the epicenter of the LGBT community in the country – and even in North America – for 12 days.
