July 21, 2023

The International Airport of Puerto Vallarta received last week the award of “Inclusive Tourism” granted by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, for complying with the standards of the model of service and attention to people with disabilities, informed Miguel Cravioto, spokesman for the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP).

This award is given to those tourism companies that not only have the knowledge of attention to people with disabilities, but also have the appropriate exterior and interior facilities, signage and information services to provide a quality service to this market segment.

To achieve this, we have worked hand in hand with a consultant to address the 5 points that the Federal Ministry of Tourism that grants the distinctive evaluates and these are: outdoor facilities, indoor facilities and bathrooms, signage and care and information services.

The minimum score to obtain this distinction is 85 and Puerto Vallarta International Airport achieved a 91.76, therefore this seal was granted digitally on July 12th and in a month the diploma will be delivered physically.

The airports of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico maintain a commitment to passengers with disabilities and we seek their best travel experience and together with Teleton we implement programs to assist passengers with disabilities at the airport.

This award is aimed at travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, museums, convention or meeting centers, tour guides, hospitals, theme parks and tourist transportation.
