The port will be closed to all forms of shipping due to Tropical Storm “Lidia” as of 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 9th, according to a communiqué sent to harbor masters, including this city’s.

In the communiqué, it is advised to take the necessary precautions and to pay close attention to the weather warnings that this marine authority issues in advance of the development of the phenomena, its course, and its effects in this jurisdiction.

It is noteworthy that the Administration of the National Port System (Asipona) of Puerto Vallarta announced the postponement of two cruise ship arrivals scheduled for this week due to Tropical Storm “Lidia”.

While the cruise ship Nieuw Amsterdam landed in Puerto Vallarta on Monday, the Ocean Victory and the Carnival Panorama were due to arrive on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, but have now been postponed.

To protect the integrity of both the passengers and the tourist service providers, it is crucial to highlight that no tourist vessel will be permitted to deliver its services on Tuesday until the maritime authorities lifts this limitation.
