During this holiday period, an increased presence of foreign tourists is expected compared to previous years, although the majority of visitors will be domestic. Puerto Vallarta already has hotel reservations at 85% for the Easter and Passover holiday period.

According to Christian Salvador Preciado Cázares, Director of Tourism and Economic Development, there will be both national and international tourism in the destination.

With less than a month remaining until the holiday period, Puerto Vallarta is a favored destination, especially considering the colder temperatures in the United States and Canada. While the local market predominates, hotels and tourism service providers are preparing for an influx of foreign visitors.

Preciado Cázares mentioned ongoing communication with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) to obtain permits for the sale of alcohol and recreational activities on the beach, as traditionally done during this holiday period. The aim is to activate economic development by organizing beach events that attract vendors and generate economic activity.

According to hoteliers, Puerto Vallarta is already at 85% occupancy for the holiday period, with executive-style hotels such as INNs experiencing particularly high demand.
