The Municipal Government of Puerto Vallarta is actively pursuing a twinning agreement with New York City. In preparation, advertising for Puerto Vallarta will be showcased in Times Square on May 5th, coinciding with a parade in the city.

Discussions with the New York consulate have also highlighted the importance of upcoming events like the Battle of Puebla for the Mexican community in the U.S.

A meeting is scheduled for May 7th at the New York consulate to further strengthen ties between the two cities.

Additionally, there is interest from cities like McAllen and Florida in exporting Mexican products, with a focus on promoting tourism and boosting the local economy.

Plans are also underway for a sister cities park in Puerto Vallarta, which will feature motifs representing each city with a connection to the area.

These developments signify an exciting opportunity for cultural exchange and economic collaboration between Puerto Vallarta and its potential sister cities.
