Vallarta to lead hotel occupancy during the December holidays

The Federal Ministry of Tourism announced the projections of hotel occupancy in some beach destinations, with Puerto Vallarta in first place with 82.6%.

For this holiday season, which runs from December 16, 2023 to January 7, 2024, it is estimated that 8.4 million tourists will arrive in hotels, of which 77.6% will be national and 22.4% international.

In the selected centers, an occupancy rate of 83.8% is forecast in Puerto Vallarta; 82.6%, in Riviera Maya; 81.1%, in Cancún; 80.6%, in Los Cabos; 71.6%, in Veracruz-Boca del Río; 70%, in Mérida; 61%, in Mexico City; 60.3%, in Puebla; 58. 2%, in San Cristóbal de las Casas; 58.1%, in Monterrey; 50.8%, in Querétaro; 50.7%, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez; 49.3%, in San Miguel de Allende; 49.1%, in Aguascalientes; 49%, in Villahermosa; 48.3%, in Xalapa; and 42.5%, in Coatzacoalcos.
