This Thursday, 162 passengers on Barbie’s plane, which was inaugurated with the traditional mariachi and some gifts from this city and the Riviera Nayarit, traveled on the Volaris airline’s Mexicali-Puerto Vallarta route for the first time.

The Culiacan-Puerto Vallarta route will begin service on this same day at 6 p.m. with the same frequency, according to Luis Villaseor Nolasco, director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust. This flight will have two frequencies per week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

“In particular, with Mexicali, it reinforces every advantage that California has. Not to mention, this same airline operates between three and four daily flights to Tijuana, so this gives us greater coverage with this flight and enables more residents of southern California and Arizona to travel to the destination.”

Nanci Aidé Lomel, head of Volaris’ Market Development Department, expressed her delight at the launch of three new flights to Mexicali, Culiacan, and Guadalajara from Puerto Vallarta. She added that, in addition to Jalisco being a crucial state where they already have 59 routes, 36 of the company’s aircraft are entirely devoted to serving the state’s market.

Also, he emphasized that Puerto Vallarta, where 10 routes are already in operation, is a crucial destination for this airline.
