350 athletes took part in the Wind Festival in Riviera Nayarit

From May 12th to 14th, the 11th edition of the “Festival del Viento Nayarit 2023” was held, considered the most important kiteboarding championship in the country and one of the most important in Latin America.

More than 350 athletes from different countries participated in this festival, most of them experienced athletes from the Olympic Games and other international competitions.

The starting point was in Cruz de Huanacaxtle and the finishing line was in Bucerías, where hundreds of people and whole families gathered to see them arrive and enjoy their tricks and exhibition of this sport. The children were the most surprised to see their maneuvers and how they flew over the sea.

The competition was divided into categories, from children to veterans in Regatta (circuits), Freestyle (maneuvers), Big Air (aerial acrobatics), among others.

The Nayarit Wind Festival 2023 was a great kitesurfing event where great athletes of different nationalities practicing this sport could be appreciated, in addition to an intense and close competition between local and international figures who participated.
