Bahía de Banderas to host the sailing national competitions
From 25 to 29 May, 160 athletes from 9 states of the country will participate in the CONADE National Games 2023 in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle; the municipalities of Bahía de Banderas, Compostela and Tepic will be sub-hosts in nine sports disciplines.
As part of the activities for this year’s CONADE National Games, Bahía will host important national competitions: the sailing competition from 29 May to 29 May, the triathlon from 29 May to 1 July, and from 26 June to 1 July, some of Nayarit’s beaches will be ideal for surfing competitions.
In Compostela, the open water swimming competition will be held from 8 to 12 June, and beach volleyball from 20 to 25 June.
More than 260 people are expected to take part in the event and the activities will officially start on Friday 26th at 10:00am on the beaches of La Cruz, on Saturday 27th at 9:00am there will be some tests, on Sunday 28th the final stage including the prize giving and finally on Monday 29th the competition will end with some activities just for the participants.
As of today, participants are already in the area to do some training before taking part in the most important competition in our country.
