Banderas Bay beaches crowded at the start of winter holidays

The beaches of Banderas Bay looked full of people during the weekend, with the official beginning of the winter holidays, which are predicted to have positive results in terms of the number of visitors.

In a CPS Noticias tour of the beaches of Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerías, a large number of bathers were seen enjoying the sun and the calm waters of the sea.

At Fibba Beach, in Nuevo Vallarta, there were only a few spots free on the sand due to the number of people who had arrived with umbrellas and coolers in hand.

Many of these beachgoers were foreigners who had already begun to arrive in the area in large numbers.

On the other hand, the beaches of Bucerías were also very crowded and the restaurants seemed to be almost full due to the beginning of the holiday season.

According to the Municipal Tourism Board, Banderas Bay could see hotel occupancy rates of over 85 percent during this holiday period, and almost 100 percent during the Christmas and New Year’s weekends.
