The summer vacation season for 2023 has already started in Banderas Bay, and Jorge Garcia, director of tourism, forecasts that hotel occupancy will range from 75 to 80%.

The official claimed that the municipality’s strength comes from national tourism, which results in reservations.

Despite the fact that the pandemic is no longer a topic of conversation, he insisted that the summer was still going to be very good. “We are working on national tourism, which fortunately is making us strong,” he said. “It is predicted that we will be between 75 and 80% occupancy.

In addition, he mentioned that in order to avoid being taken by scammers, they would set up some QR-coded informational points that would inform visitors about the Banderas Bay’s attractions and the tour operators that have been authorized by the authorities.

“Typically, when people approach us, they ask us how far the place they want to go is, and we also give them information about hotels and some restaurants; this is very important for those listening to us, the service providers, and we recommend those who are already established, with their licenses and approvals, which can be found on the page, because they care about providing good treatment and good services to visitors.

Finally, he urged everyone to enjoy Banderas Bay responsibly, especially at the beaches, by respecting the flags’ colors and following the lifeguards’ indications.
