June 06, 2023
Bahía de Banderas’ La Cruz de Huanacaxtle residents gave 500,000 pesos to Oromapas to fund a project that will provide the community with regular access to water.
The resource delivered by the neighbors, according to Oromapas’ director Josué Ral Gutiérrez, is a great help to the organization and has sped up the work that is about to get started.
He added that the project would take about five weeks to complete and would cost a total of about 1.2 million pesos, of which Oromapas would contribute only 700,000.
Depending on the concrete issue, he said, “I think that in a week (the works begin) and it will last approximately five weeks. I have not seen how long the concrete will last, and at this time I do not have the data, but I believe that it will be finished in five weeks.”
Laying nearly a kilometer of four-inch pipe will be required to transport water to the homes of the neighbors who today donated 500,000 pesos for their labor.
