Weddings, groups and conventions, Riviera Nayarit’s fastest growing markets

Since the group and conference segments, as well as weddings, are reacting extremely well, hotel operators are sure that the Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit region will continue to experience strong occupancy rates and a good flow of tourists.

They gave the previous season a “good” review because the Canadian and American markets were back, which made everyone extremely happy.

We’re hoping that all we’ve accomplished in the last three years with the American market will be preserved.

Due to the closure of Europe and Asia, the American market had few options and went to Mexico. This has given the Vallarta area a solid demand, “allowing us to augur that we will have a good summer, aside from the national market is adjusting, it had also left a lot of inconveniences because of Covid-19, but the future reservations look good compared to past years,” says one local.

The hotel owners are sure that Vallarta will have a good transitional season. There are groups that are returning after having previously left, and there is a good flow of weddings—even last-minute ones—due to the fact that previously they were carefully planned affairs that now take place every four to five months in various markets and we have experienced them in our hotels.
