Top Beaches

Ballenas Beach

You can enjoy a wonderful day of rest and fun at Playa Ballenas, which has stunning turquoise blue waters and a wide sandy beach facing the Caribbean Sea.
It is ideal for nautical entertainment thanks of its position in the open sea and its consistently high wave activity. Also, Cancun's Hotel Zone is far enough away from the busiest area for you to chill out peacefully.

You will deight in a large sandy beach with lots of room for sunbathing, palapas, and lounge chairs. Surfers frequently travel there to engage in this sport thanks to the area's excellent waves. It is an open sea beach, so you must use caution when swimming.

Caracol Beach

Caracol is a lovely beach with calm waters, perfect for spending the day with family or friends.
You will have a great sense of intimacy sunbathing, swimming, or splashing in the water because it is small, a few tens of meters. Its long and lovely pier is great for photographing yourself or with your loved one. Its location on the north side keeps it away from the busiest and most popular part of Cancun's beach area.

Playa Caracol is a lovely public beach with a government tourism station where you may rent umbrellas and beach chairs. Only those who rent lounge chairs and consume food or drinks have access to the restrooms.

Chac Mool Beach

Chac Mool's powerful waves make it a favored beach for surfers in Cancun.
Because it is a large public beach with white sand, it is easy to find a nice spot and lie down to sunbathe on the sand, though swimming should be done with caution owing to the strong current.

The beach is located at Kilometer 10 of Kukulkan Boulevard, Cancun's primary public route that passes through the Hotel Zone.

Coral Beach

On this beach, all leashed animals are welcome. Low-wave conditions are ideal for seaside pet play.

Since it is located near the airport, you can stop by when leaving or getting to Cancun's hotel zone. Blue crabs visit it to spawn in the months of September and October during full moons.

It is a quiet beach that gets a lot of visitors on weekends and holidays. Both the elderly and those with disabilities can easily access it.

Delfines Beach

This beach, which stretches for almost 30 kilometers, is renowned for its immaculate white sand and clear, blue waters.

When you get to Playa Delfines, you can immediately unwind in the shade of one of the many free parasols, ideal for peace lovers.

It is best to enjoy Playa Delfines without engaging in any water sports as they would be difficult to master because of the moderately high waves. The period between May and September is considered as turtle nesting season.

Gaviota Azul Beach

Gaviota Azul, also known as Forum Beach, is a favorite for its beauty and location as it is located in the heart of the hotel zone and hence also of the party.
Because of its extensive shoreline, you can swim or surf all day. There is a section of the beach with its distinctive breakwater where you may spend hours in the ocean. Another spot, in front of the commercial complex, has waves that allow you to surf.

There is also a beach club for a livelier vibe. The admission price includes usage of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and the pool, as well as food and beverage service, all while being surrounded by music and excitement.

Langosta Beach

Playa Langosta is ideal for taking your children, who may spend hours swimming, splashing, and building sandcastles on the Mexican Caribbean's shore without worrying about waves. Playa Langosta is another Cancun inclusive beach, with ramps and enough amenities for persons with disabilities to enjoy a day of surf and sun. If you want to go on a tour to Isla Mujeres, boats sail from here for the morning island.

Las Perlas Beach

It is great for those seeking peace and quiet throughout their journey, as well as those who are not so into the pace and flow of people.
Las Perlas offers a crystal clear and highly clean sea, white sand, free umbrellas, bathrooms, a park, and much more. There are no restaurants on this public beach. However, we recommend that you prepare some snacks or buy items at the market before you leave, since they will be even cheaper and more delicious there.

Because it is a relatively calm beach with gentle waves, it is possible to take a nap, appreciate the local scenery, snap some memento photos, and have a great dive.

Marlin Beach

The most appealing aspect of Playa Marln is the stunning panorama of pristine sand and turquoise blue Mexican Caribbean colors.
The activities here are diverse, as you can play beach soccer or volleyball, surf, parasail, or even get a massage in front of the water!

This beach's location is also appealing. Commercial plazas, restaurants, and retailers surround Playa Marln.

Tortugas Beach

Tortugas is the place to go if you want to relax, have fun, and get a gorgeous tan.

It is one of Quintana Roo's most popular and acclaimed beaches, located at kilometer 6.5 of Kukulcan Boulevard in Cancun's Hotel Zone. Sea activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving, as well as bungee jumping and beach walks, are available. The waves are modest, and the water is shallow.

Tortugas is no exception to Cancun's constant partying. Every day, there are celebrations along the seaside that you can take part in. From Tortugas, you can take a ferry to Isla Mujeres or board tiny boats for a journey along Cancun's coastline.
