Riviera Nayarit beaches, suitable for recreational use during Easter Week
The Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) has certified that the beaches of the Riviera Nayarit are suitable for recreational use during the Easter holidays. This was the outcome of the Holy Week pre-holiday monitoring that took place between March 6 and March 14.
According to reports, the beaches in San Francisco, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Playa El Anclote in Punta Mita, Nuevo Vallarta 1 and 2, Buceras 1 and 2, and Playa El Anclote all had acceptable levels, making them suitable for recreational use.
The beaches in the municipality of Compostela, including Rincón de Guayabitos, Chacala, and Los Ayala, also had levels that were very acceptable.

Vallarta and Cabo Corrientes beaches, suitable for bathing at Easter Week
The results of the pre-vacation monitoring for Easter 2023 were released this Wednesday by the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris), indicating that the beaches in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo Corrientes are suitable for recreational use.
They meet the standard of having 200 or fewer enterococci per 100 milliliters of water, according to monitoring conducted from March 6 to 15. As a result, they are suitable for recreational use.
Based on the monitoring table, between 10 and 16 enterococci were found on the beaches in Puerto Vallarta’s Mismaloya, Gemelas, Los Muertos, Cuale, Oasis, Las Palmas, and Camarones. Only 10 were found in Cabo Corrientes, Yelapa, Quimixto, and Las Nimas.

Everything ready for the LGBT March “Los Cabos Pride 2023”
The LGBT Los Cabos Pride 2023 Pride March was announced, where the participation of 10 thousand people is expected. This event will be held in collaboration with the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca).
The LGBT market represents 16% of the total tourism that arrives in Los Cabos for the destination, with Chicago being its main source market for tourists in this segment. The march will take place in the streets of the tourist area of Cabo San Lucas on June 17.
An event will also take place in the lot 8 parking lot, located next to the Culture Pavilion, where national and international artists from the LGBT community will perform an important concert.

Mexicali – Los Cabos flight announced
The Mexicali International Airport, the Los Cabos International Airport, the Volaris airline, and the Baja California government announced a new direct route between Mexicali and Los Cabos as part of the 47th edition of the Tianguis Turistico 2023.
The information was made public by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacfico (GAP), the organization in charge of running the airports in Mexicali and Los Cabos. It also stated that the route would start operating in October and that tickets would go on sale in May.
It will broadcast on Thursday and Sunday each week. The trip will leave Mexicali at 1:00 p.m. and arrive in Los Cabos at 3:00 p.m. While leaving Los Cabos at 10:30 and arriving in Mexicali at 12:30, respectively.

New Hotel Council of the Mexican Caribbean announced
Quintana Roo Governor, Mara Lezama, announced a new Mexican Caribbean Hotel Council. The Council has a teamwork agenda to facilitate the entry of tourists into the state with better immigration and customs services.
The agenda also includes security, collection and disposal of sargassum, the strengthening of tourism promotion and to put order into the vacation rental sector. Lezama made the announcement during the Tianguis Turístico México 2023.
The associations part of the Council are the Riviera Maya Hotel Association, the Tulum Hotel Association, the Association of Vacation Clubs and the Cozumel Hotel Association, the Cancun, Puerto Morelos and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association, the Costa Mujeres Association and the Southern Quintana Roo Hotel Association.
