The Magic of Nature

Nature activates all our senses, but especially, it puts our brain into action. Yes, walking in nature gives you motor skills, clean air and beautiful landscapes, but it also puts neurons to work for exactly what they were programmed to do: survive in nature.
My name is Cesar Medina. I have lived in the Bay of Banderas since 2009 and since then my wife and I and our friends like to walk the trails in the mountains, the beaches and the rivers that surround us in this paradise where we live. This activity known as hiking is free, easy, and besides being fun, it is extremely healthy. It is, in short, the best way to test any other physical and/or sports activity that someone can do.
In these surroundings, as I have already mentioned, we can find roads where the jungle, mountains, beaches and rivers mix. Sometimes, you can choose only the mountain or only the river, and you only need to put on comfortable clothes, prepare your backpack with water, snacks, and a change of clothes, prepare your route (or look for someone who knows it), and get up early so that you avoid the midday sun.
I’m an amateur hiker, but I try to be well informed and the internet, used with caution, allows us to acquire the necessary information to avoid getting into trouble. So, we will be sharing our experiences on routes such as Palo María, Cascada Las Palmas, El Salto, Colomitos and Las Animas, Quimixto, Cerro del Mono, Mirador El Toro and many more trails.
If you don’t have experience, don’t worry, just start slowly, tie your trail shoes well and don’t stop drinking water. Always accompanied by someone who encourages you, and who supports your rhythm and speed, things that will increase if you don’t stop trying and enjoying it. Do not forget that nothing is easy at the beginning, and it is enough to take the first step to start. Little by little you will leave behind your knee pain, back pain and shortness of breath. By the time you come to realize it, you’ll have a healthier body, cleaner lungs, and more years of life saved and stored no matter how old you are.
Something important: go to your physician, tell him that you will start a new adventure as a hiker, and follow his recommendations. He will surely suggest you combine hiking with strength and cardio exercise, in order to avoid injuries. He will also ask you to warm up before starting a route and to stretch when you have completed it.
Ready! You just need to put a date on it. You already have me in this media to make recommendations and suggestions. Invite your best companies, and if your pet is on your adventure, don’t leave it at home.
All my experiences are personal, and you should not assume that your results will be the same as mine. Take all precautions, search, find out and record all the experiences you can find online. See you on the next route.
