Community Talent Competition to Support Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza

February 20, 2025
Puerto Vallarta’s vibrant community is coming together once again to support a noble cause. On Sunday, February 23, the grand finale of “So You Think You Can RISE?” will take place at Teatro Vallarta, with the goal of raising funds for the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (RISE), a refuge for children in need.
This talent competition will feature nine finalists—both solo performers and groups—vying for the grand prize of 20,000 pesos. Contestants include five vocalists, a pianist, the traditional dance group Danza Cerro, contemporary dance troupe F91, and accordionist Nicolás Lara. Adding to the excitement, a talented pianist has been granted a second chance to compete in the finale.
The event will be hosted by CPS Noticias presenters Jessy Ruiz and Nacho Granados, ensuring an evening of entertainment and philanthropy. The winner will not only take home the cash prize but will also secure a performance spot at a premier local entertainment venue.
RISE, established in 2001, provides a safe haven for children rescued from abandonment or abusive domestic environments. Despite its critical mission, the refuge receives no government funding and is entirely supported by private donations and fundraising events. Currently, RISE is home to 50 children, ranging from infants to teenagers, who are cared for by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
Tickets for the event are available at varying price points: gallery seating for 600 pesos, premium seating for 900 pesos, and VIP seating for 1,200 pesos, which includes a gift from sponsors such as Itamar, Let’s Pho PV Vietnamese Kitchen, Xocodiva, Americana Sports Bar Grill, and Pepe and Charlie Private Chefs.
Tickets can be purchased online at ticketsource.us/RISE or in person at Coco Cabaret on Francisco I. Madero 289, Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This exciting talent showcase is not just an opportunity to enjoy incredible performances but also a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in need. Mark your calendars for a night of music, dance, and generosity.
