Puerto Vallarta Art Walk 2022 – 2023

Art Walks are a staple in every city that prides itself in having a thriving art scene and a culture-thirsty population. Puerto Vallarta possesses both, so it is only natural the town features a very well-known event of this nature.

Puerto Vallarta’s weekly Art Walk takes place every Wednesday evening in the downtown area, home to the vibrant life characteristic of the city. Galleries are scattered along restaurants, cafés, boutiques, jewelry shops, and night clubs, all composing a bustling micro destination within Vallarta.

The 2022 – 2023 season

The 2022 – 2023 season marks the twenty-sixth year the Art Walk has taken place. This time it will go from October 26, 2022 through June 28, 2023, in hand with what is considered the “high season” for Puerto Vallarta and the full Banderas Bay. This year there are 16 participating galleries and art houses:

The Art Walk is not a guided tour, but rather an open-house-style event. Venues offer art collectors, guests, and public in general alluring exhibition openings, complimentary wine or cocktails, and the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of local, national, and international artists.

There is no special order to visit the galleries. All will be ready to go at 6:00 in the evening and you can spend as much time as you wish in each spot. In case you cannot attend an opening cocktail, you can stop by during regular hours to admire the creators’ works.

Along the years, Puerto Vallarta has built a solid reputation as an art destination. Plenty of artists call it home, and the process of creation, exhibition, and sale of paintings, sculptures, and mixed media is in full swing.
