TierraLuna Gardens was the venue of Grand Gourmet Village, the opening event of the 28th Festival Gourmet International on Thursday 9.
An evening of glamour, food and wine delighted all the attendees who gathererd at the spectacular gardens and terrace of Garza Blanca Preserve.
Flavors and aromas were the stars of the night, along with their creators. Host and guest chefs of the 32 participating restaurants showed the result of their inspiration. Along the multiple stands lined up in the premises, food lovers strolled leisurely. They stopped at every station to taste the delicacies offered.
Every stop was an opportunity to learn more about the eateries and the chefs. Cocktails were sipped, recipes shared, and compliments exchanged. The occasion lent itself for that and more.

Ever from the entrance, surprises started. A couple of moko jumbies greeted everybody. A picture with them was a must, the first of many flashes you would see. And right after that, the food appeared, and the spirits started to flow.
Karuma, the restaurant of the hosting house, was at your left hand and a stop was in order. You just couldn’t help it. After it, came the rest of the participants. It would be impossible to describe each and every one of them. And it would be unfair to leave even one out.
However, it should suffice to know that by the time you were halfway through the stand tour, you were thinking “Oh, I won’t be able to make it all the way”! That good and that abundant were the food and the beverages.
At the end of the night, Chef Thierry Blouet, of Café des Aristes fame and founder and organize of the Festival, welcomed restaurants, chefs and attendees to the 28th Festival Gourmet International.
It has become the largest and longest-running gastronomic festival in Mexico, a worthy sample of the prestigious destinations that Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have come to be.
An invitation to attend all the events (you can see them here) and spectacular fireworks marked the end if an unforgettable soiree, with the promise of coming back next year.
