More Mexican golfers to join in Mexico Open at Vidanta
April 05, 2023
The second edition of the Mexico Open at Vidanta will be held at the Vidanta Vallarta golf courses from April 27th to 30th, with the participation of the world’s best golfers, including Jon Rahm, number two in the world and champion of the first edition, who will try to defend his title.
As for Mexican golfers Cristóbal Islas, Omar Morales, Sebastián Vázquez, Álvaro Ortiz and José de Jesús Rodríguez, they earned their spots after winning several qualifying tournaments. They are ready to represent our country in such an important sporting event.
Carlos Ortiz, also a PGA TOUR champion at the 2020 Vivint Houston Open, is ready to participate; he has over 150 professional tournaments on the PGA TOUR and is currently a great promoter of Mexican golf.
While Omar Morales from Puebla and José Cristóbal Islas from Hidalgo are the amateurs who will compete with the best international golf stars in what will be a unique opportunity for their successful careers.
In the coming days, there will be more tournaments to qualify for the Mexico Open at Vidanta. Hopefully, more Mexican golfers will earn a spot to join in.
