The cars for the Maya Train are almost ready to leave the state of Hidalgo. The train cars were built in the state and are currently being prepared for shipment to Quintana Roo.

The cars will be shipped in the coming weeks and delivered to a maintenance garage near the under-construction Cancun Maya Train station.

The Jaguar train cars will depart from Ciudad Sahagn as part of a total of 42. The cars are among 42 in total, divided into three models: 31 Xiinbal standard, eight Jacal restaurant cars, and three P’atal long-distance vehicles.

The first cars are expected to arrive in Cancun on July 8, and static tests will be conducted in the area on July 17.

The next ten will be of the Xiinbal model, with deliveries scheduled between July 23 and November 23. Seven more of the same model will be delivered between November 2023 and February 2024, with the remaining 14 arriving between April and September 2024.

The Janal model restaurant-trains will be delivered between October and November 2024, using both diesel and electric power. Three long-distance P’atal models will be available between March and April 2024.
