Riviera Nayarit is a roughly 200-mile-long stretch of golden Mexican coastline. It is littered with cute communities to explore, each with a warm welcome and a vibrant culture. If you are staying in Nuevo Vallarta, there is much to do right near your resort. however, spending the afternoon touring a Magic Town is one of the greatest things to do. Bucerias

Following the bike trail is among the most popular activities to do while in Nuevo Vallarta. Heading north on it will lead you to a secret trail connecting the area to Bucerias. It is one of the best small towns to visit for an evening out because of its Thursday night art market and gourmet eateries. La Cruz

La Cruz is an ideal day trip destination just a 30-minute drive away from Nuevo Vallarta, Its major draw is the massive Sunday farmers market that winds its way around the docks at the La Cruz marina. Here, you will find everything from freshly baked bread to handmade jewelry. During the week, local fisherman sell crab, octopus, shrimp, and fish at the docks. La Cruz is a unique hamlet near Puerto Vallarta for a day excursion, whether you are going on a boat or shopping for locally manufactured things.

Sayulita

Sayulita is one of Mexico’s Magic Towns. Sayulita’s streets are adorned with local art and lined with boutiques and restaurants. You will run into more delightful spots to see around every turn. The pace is slow in this Magic Town. After visiting the town, take a stroll to the beach. You will find plenty of surfers catching waves. Taking a surf lesson here is one of the most thrilling things to do. With transportation options ranging from public buses to private taxis, it is one of the easiest day trips from Nuevo Vallarta.

San Pancho

San Francisco, or San Pancho as the locals call it, is just up the road from Sayulita. While Sayulita has grown in popularity, the streets of San Pancho remain quiet and peaceful. Its streets are less congested. However, it is just as culturally active and unique as any of Mexico’s other Magic Towns. Do not miss the delectable fish tacos and icy margarita.

These picturesque villages and towns surrounding Puerto Vallarta are easy to reach when staying in Nuevo Vallarta. The Riviera Nayarit coast even features two of Mexico’s most dynamic Magic Towns. You will be submerged in local culture whether you go to Bucerias for supper or spend the day at San Pancho.
