Jon Rahm is back to defend his title at the Mexico Open at Vidanta
April 28, 2023
The world’s No. 1 golfer, Jon Rahm, the reigning champion of the Mexico Open at Vidanta, returned to this tournament to defend his title and hopes to lift the trophy again this Sunday.
The Spaniard stated that he felt thrilled when he won this Mexican tournament last year, noting that he had previously come close to winning in another competition in Mexican territory at the Chapultepec Golf Club in Mexico City.
The golfer has won several titles throughout his career and is considered one of the favorites to win this year’s event.
Ramh said that Mexico is one of his favorite countries and highlighted the welcome in a press conference:
I was very excited to win because I was very close to winning two years ago in Chapultepec, so to win in Mexico was very emotional for me. To be able to come to a tournament that has given me so much is very important to me.
Earlier, the world’s best golfer talked about the beauty of Banderas Bay as a destination. He and his family have enjoyed it very much, especially the beaches.
