New sculture unveiled in Puerto Vallarta: Jim Demetro’s “Salud”
Puerto Vallarta’s urban artistic heritage is constantly being expanded. The interactive sculpture “Salud” (Cheers!), a life-size bronze piece donated by its creator, Jim Demetro, was unveiled this past Monday afternoon at the Maleconcito II of Olas Altas beach, very close to the Lázaro Cárdenas Plaza in the so-called Romantic Zone.
About 50 foreign residents, friends of the sculptor, and his family attended the emotional event where the artist unveiled his work. The artist and his family have lived in Puerto Vallarta for many years.

Swimming with sea lions banned in Espíritu Santo for the summer
From June 1 to August 31, swimming and diving with sea lions will be prohibited in Los Islotes, in the Espíritu Santo Archipelago Marine Zone National Park. According to Fernando Elorriaga Verplancken, researcher of the Interdisciplinary Center of Marine Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute (CICIMAR-IPN), this measure is related to the reproduction and breeding period of the California sea lion.

Haytt to open new luxury hotel at Costa Mujeres
Hyatt, one of the biggest hotel chains in the world, has revealed that it is building a brand-new, opulent all-inclusive resort in Costa Mujeres, a popular vacation destination north of Cancun.
The announcement comes as new resort developments are causing Costa Mujeres’ popularity to soar. This idyllic location has been topping the lists as one of the hottest Mexican Caribbean hotspots this year thanks to its white-sand beaches and relaxed atmosphere.
