People with disabilities can now enjoy the sun, sand and sea this Easter Week
The vast majority of certified beaches in the municipality of Los Cabos have the famous “amphibious chairs” that allow people with motor disabilities to enjoy the sun, beach and sand during their visits to the resorts.
The certified beaches that have amphibious hybrid chairs are Chileno, Santa María, Médano, Corsario, Acalpulquito, as well as beaches in the northern zone such as La Gaviota and La Rivera, but the one that currently has the service is Playa Palmilla.
For use in the sea, the assistance of a lifeguard is required. The chair has a life jacket that is adjustable for adults and children, and straps to attach to the chest and feet.

Riviera Maya resorts announce ambitious new sargassum plan
This week, a group of leading Riviera Maya resorts announced an ambitious new plan to – hopefully – prevent sargassum from marring their beautiful white sand beaches forever.
The $100 million project would be one of the largest to date, and would involve several key stakeholders.
According to officials, the anti-sargassum plan would consist mainly of preventative measures; more specifically, sargassum would be collected in the ocean long before it washes up on the shores of the Riviera Maya.
Analysts say that well over a thousand tons of Sargassum could be collected from Riviera Maya beaches thanks to the new innovative plan. Officials have said that a pilot project could take place as early as August this year, with the full effects of the program becoming visible in 2024.
