The Villa Group revalidates Preverisk certificates of international standards

The Villa Group hotels in Puerto Vallarta and the Riviera Nayarit received Preverisk 2022 certificates on Monday, assuring that these lodging facilities adhere to the highest international standards of hygiene, food safety, and water management.

The Villa Group has been working with the firm Preverisk for 13 years as a part of its high commitment to its establishments’ safety and hygiene programs. They also demand strict controls in the handling of air conditioning equipment as an integral standard with the care of guests’, visitors’, and employees’ health.

Vallarta to have the highest hotel occupancy during May long weekends

Once again Puerto Vallarta will top the list of tourist destinations with the highest hotel occupancy. According to the Federal Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), this Jalisco resort will be in first place during the May 1st and 5th long weekends, with an estimated 84% hotel occupancy rate.

 

During these long weekends for Labor Day and the Battle of Puebla, Puerto Vallarta will have the first place in tourist arrivals in Mexico, mainly from the national market, followed by Cancun with 82.1%; Los Cabos with 79.6%; Acapulco with 77% and Aguascalientes with 73.4%.

There are 8,000 Airbnb hosts in Baja California Sur; 25 % are in La Paz

Renting homes or apartments through the Airbnb platform is one of the options that is growing in popularity with visitors to Baja California Sur. Rosa Maribel Collins Sánchez, the secretary of tourism, made this information public. There are 8,000 hosts overall in the state, with La Paz accounting for 25% of them.

 El Tecolote beach is in optimal conditions: authorities

According to the 3 extraordinary samplings carried out this weekend by the State Commission for the Protection against Health Risks (Coepris) at the beach of El Tecolote, in the municipality of La Paz, the seawater in this area is in optimal conditions for recreational use, informed the head of the agency, José Manuel Larumbe Pineda.

Tulum plans to have its coastline certified as a Platinum Beach

Volunteers and staff from Tulum City Hall and the Federal Maritime Terrestrial Zone started a massive sargassum cleaning effort on Friday. To begin the cleaning program of the Tulum coastline, dozens of people arrived at Playa Santa Fe.

 

While the municipality is working toward a Platinum Beach certification, the beach cleaning program is for the enjoyment of visitors and families.

Amazon Mexico and Made in Quintana Roo collaborate to market and sell regional goods

For the purpose of promoting locally produced goods, the state of Quintana Roo has partnered with Amazon Mexico. On April 21, a letter of intent for the marketing and promotion of goods from Micro, Small and Medium Businesses (MiPyMEs) was signed through the Secretariat of Economic Development (SEDE). State handicrafts are also included in the letter of intent.

 

The head of SEDE, Karla Almanza López, noted that the letter of intent was signed with Renata Arvizu Manzano, a representative of the Amazon Mexico Marketplace.
