Over 2.6 million passengers have flown to Puerto Vallarta this year
In the first four months of this year, the International Airport of Puerto Vallarta exceeded 2 million 660 thousand passengers, an increase of 24.8 percent compared to the same period of 2022, which was a little more than 2 million 130 thousand tourists, according to the monthly report of the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP).
This report points out that only in April 2023 the Puerto Vallarta airport received 260 thousand passengers on domestic flights, 14.1 percent more than the same month of 2022

Arrival of cruise passengers in Vallarta exceeds 223 thousand
According to the National Port System Administration (Asipona) of Puerto Vallarta, in the first quarter of the year almost 223 thousand passengers arrived on 73 international cruise ships, which exceeds the figures of the same period of 2022.
In January of this year, 32 cruise ships arrived with a little more than 90 thousand passengers; in February, there were more than 60 thousand cruise passengers on 19 ships; in March, the Asipona received 72 thousand 537 visitors on 22 ships.

First responders to use drone technology for search and rescue

High occupancy rates for long weekends in Puerto Morelos
For the long weekends in April and May, hotels in Puerto Morelos reported an occupancy rate of 70%, according to Miguel Cámara Ruiz, the secretary of sustainable tourism.
Despite the fact that it is not the peak travel season and only a few weeks after the Easter holidays, Ruiz claimed that Puerto Morelos continues to be a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists, with high occupancy rates.

29% increase in cruise passengers expected in Cozumel
Cozumel will experience a 3% increase in arrivals and a 29% increase in passengers, according to the Integral Port Administration (Apiqroo).
In 2022, 1,117 cruise ships carrying 2,943,760 passengers from five major companies registered arrivals in Cozumel.
3,802,527 passengers and 1,153 arrivals are anticipated for this year.
