Restaurant Week is coming in its 19 edition

The nineteenth edition of the gastronomic event Restaurant Week, dedicated mainly to the local public, will be held from May 15th to June 10th. This time, 43 restaurants from Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will participate in the event.

Juan Pablo Hernandez, coordinator of the event for the last fifteen years, emphasized that the challenge of each edition is to maintain the preference of the local public; he said that a recent survey showed that the restaurants of the region have an acceptance rate of 80 percent among the residents of Banderas Bay.

Puerto Vallarta to improve downtown image with underground cable

In the heart of Puerto Vallarta, on Juarez Avenue, work began a few days ago to install underground cables without affecting traffic or pedestrian crossings.

This work is being done to improve the image of downtown Puerto Vallarta. At this time, all electrical, telephone and cable TV services are being installed.

La Paz celebrates its 488th anniversary

Today begins the celebration of the 488th anniversary of the founding of the city of La Paz, and like every year, everything is ready for the Fiestas Fundación de La Paz.

To kick off the festivities, the traditional group “Son de mi tierra” will perform at 6:00 p.m., the Sedena Symphony Orchestra at 8:30 p.m., and the tenor Enrique Astorga will perform at 7:30 p.m., along with the traditional reenactment of the landing of Hernán Cortés at 7:00 p.m. and the coronation of Queen Calafia at 8:00 p.m.

Los Cabos and Queretaro to be connected by a new air route

The Mexican airline Volaris announced the launch of 2 new routes connecting Los Cabos with Queretaro and the beaches of Cancun with Hermosillo. They pointed out that the municipality of Los Cabos is projected as one of the fastest growing tourist destinations in the country.

Those interested in traveling on the routes offered by the airline can purchase their tickets starting today (May 3) on the following itineraries.

Tulum attracts interest from the Middle East

Travel agencies from 10 countries in the Middle East and North Africa have shown interest in working with the Mexican Caribbean, announced Jorge Mario Molina Pérez, Tulum’s general director of tourism and economy.

The official is attending the Arab Travel Market Fair, which began May 1 in Dubai. This interest is a sign of the excellent response that Tulum has had in this international event.

Mexican Caribbean Hotel Associations report 76 % occupancy for last week of April

The Mexican Caribbean welcomed over 460,000 visitors during the final week of April, according to the most recent statistics. 468,523 tourists visited the Mexican Caribbean during the last week of April, according to local authorities, who also note an average hotel occupancy rate of 76.6%.

Riviera Maya had the highest hotel occupancy rate of any tourist destination, reaching an impressive 80%, according to a report by Hotel Associations and Sedetur.
