A Death Café is a social franchise, started in September 2011 by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky, who based on the ideas of anthropologist Bernard Crettaz. They offered the first Death Café in London. It now has a presence in more than 31 countries around the world and is organized in different languages. In a Death Café we meet to talk freely about topics related to Death. It is a space free of agendas, open and respectful to all ideas, without protagonism or proselytism. Ideally, there will always be drinks and snacks because we meet among friends.
